What do I wash my wig with?

We use Pantene  Shampoo and Conditioner. We also use L'Oreal deep treatment. It is recommended that you do a deep treatment on your wig once every 2-3 months. Make sure to brush your wig prior to washing and let it dry on a foam head. For styling your wig after, you can secure the wig to the head using T-pins at the ear tabs and the back wefts. Never pin the lace or front of your wig. Watch this Wig Fairy Wash Tutorial!

How to change the part or make the top more voluminous?

Use a mist spray water bottle, with a Moroccanoil round brush.

How to make my part look natural?

Use The Wig Fairy Fusion Powder with the included spoolie brush. Lightly tap and blend the powder into your desired root.

Need to blend lace against your bio hair?

Purchase L'Oreal Magic Root Cover to blend lace with your bio hair and to temporarily darken roots. The roots on your wig have to match your bio hair in order for the root spray to properly camouflage the wig. Not all clients/wigs need to use this product.

How do I keep my style shiny and hydrated?

Use Moroccanoil Treatment right after styling, and use as needed. Apply at the bottom/ends. Start at the bottom and work your way up, use sparingly towards the top of your wig and avoid the part.

What hair tools do you use?

In the salon, we have the Babyliss Titanium Pro Hair Dryer. We use the Conair Pro Curling Iron. Our most commonly used are the 1 inch and 1 1/4 inch barrels. As a straightener we use Babyliss Pro Titanium Prima 3000 and we use the Moroccanoil Ionic Paddle Brush and the Moroccanoil Ceramic Round Brush.

What do I store my wig on?

When you are not wearing your wig, place it on a foam head. For easy styling, we also recommend a wig stand tripod mannequin.

What can I wear underneath my wig for security?

We offer a Wig Fairy Wig Grip headband which can be worn underneath wigs that do not have a freedom cap sewn in. We also offer a Wig Fairy Magic Cap which covers your entire head.

How do I travel with my wig?

It is important to protect your wig while not wearing. First, always remember not to check your wig. Put your valuables in your carry on! Secondly, use The Wig Fairy travel bag! Watch this video to learn how to package your wig!

How can I make a consultation/appointment?

I don't have an appointment. Can I just walk in the salon?

Unfortunately, we do not accept walk-ins at the moment. Our wig stylists are dedicated to providing personalized attention to clients with appointments. Our salon operates with limited time slots throughout the day, making it essential for clients to book appointments in advance. 

If you would like to schedule an appointment, please contact us in advance, and we'll be happy to assist you.

Can I cancel my appointment?

Please note that in-salon cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to your appointment.

Cancellations of pop-up appointments must be made 72 hours prior to the first day of the scheduled pop-up, regardless of your individual appointment. Cancellations made before this 72-hour period will receive a $50 refund from your original $100 deposit.

Do you ship worldwide?

Unfortunately, we currently only ship throughout the US.

Can I request expedited shipping?

This option is available but at an extra cost. We highly recommend contacting us first to better assist you.

How do I track my order?

A tracking number will automatically be sent to the email that is used when the order was placed.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance but we can provide an invoice of your purchase that you can share with your insurance for a possible reimbursement. 

Please make a note on your online order during checkout or contact us at info@thewigfairy.com to request an invoice.

Do I need glue or tape for my wig?

No! Our wigs are made for anyone to no longer need to use adhesives and tapes.

Do you offer any discounts for children or families in need?

Yes! While we don't have a dedicated kids section (yet!), we do offer 10% off for children in need. If you're shopping for a little one who could use a boost of confidence, reach out to us directly.

Do you offer wigs or toupees for men?

Our wigs are not created for a specific gender, but the construction of the wig limit the styles that you may achieve. Contact us to let us know what style you are looking for.
