The Wig Fairy ("The Wig Fairy," "we," "us," or "our"), operates thewigfairy.com (the "Site"), our salon at 6330 San Vicente Blvd, Suite 100, Los Angeles, CA 90048, our virtual consultations, and our pop-up events (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you book an appointment, fill out a form, chat with us, message us on social media, call or text us, or make a purchase, we may collect:

Your name, email address, phone number, and city and state
Mailing and shipping address
Appointment, consultation, and order details
Measurements, photos, and style preferences you share for wig fitting and customization
Information about your hair or hair loss that you choose to share so we can serve you
The content of your messages, calls, and form submissions
Payment information, which is processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time spent, referring pages, and similar data through cookies and analytics tools.

Calls. Calls with The Wig Fairy may be recorded and transcribed for quality, training, and customer service. We will tell you at the start of a call if it is being recorded.

2. How we use your information

To book, confirm, and manage appointments, consultations, and pop-up reservations
To create, customize, and ship your wig or topper and provide salon services
To respond to your questions and provide customer care
To send appointment reminders, order and shipping updates, and service follow-ups
To send marketing messages, only where you have opted in; you can opt out at any time
To process payments and prevent fraud
To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our Services
To comply with legal obligations

3. SMS / text messaging

When you provide your mobile number and opt in through our website forms, online booking, website chat, checkout, or by texting us, The Wig Fairy may send you text messages. These may include appointment confirmations and reminders, consultation and service follow-ups, order and shipping updates, responses to your inquiries, review requests, and, only if you separately opt in, marketing messages such as promotions, special offers, new arrivals, and pop-up event announcements.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information may be shared only with service providers that operate our text messaging program (such as messaging platforms and wireless carriers), solely to deliver messages to you. All other categories of information sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business:

Service providers that help us operate, such as our e-commerce platform (Shopify), payment processors and financing partners, scheduling, customer communication and CRM platforms, email and text message delivery providers, shipping carriers, and analytics providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
Legal reasons, when required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of The Wig Fairy, our clients, or others.
Business transfers, if our business is sold, merged, or reorganized, subject to this policy.

5. Cookies and Do Not Track

We use cookies to keep items in your cart, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used, and, if you have opted in to text messages, send cart reminders. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but parts of the Site may not work properly. The Site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.

6. Your choices

Review, update, or delete your information: email info@thewigfairy.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
Text messages: reply STOP to any message, or tell us in any other reasonable way.
Cookies: adjust your browser settings.

California residents may have additional rights under California law. Contact us using the details below to make a request.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our Services, maintain client records, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, and then delete or de-identify it.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. We provide services to children experiencing hair loss only through a parent or legal guardian, who provides any information needed on the child's behalf. If you believe a child has given us information without a parent's consent, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date, and for material changes we will provide additional notice, such as a notice on the Site.
